It only seems like yesterday we wrapped up from last season. With the success of the 1st XV and the fantastic development of the youth and mini teams, it was a really good season.
However, the work did not stop there! Throughout the summer, the teams across the club have been training hard in order to enter this season even stronger than last year.
The 1st XV will be playing in the Counties 3 Herts/Middlesex league and if last season is anything to go by, we look forward to seeing how they get on this year, the hard work they have put in during the summer will pay off, we are sure. The first match scheduled for the 1st XV will be at North Road on Saturday 16th September against Verulamians.
The same goes for our Mini and Youth teams, they work so hard to develop and the dedication of the players and coaches really does show.
Our U16's are set to play this Sunday at North Road against Hertford but do keep an eye on our Facebook page for updates as this insane heatwave may mean we need to postpone the game as the ground will be too hard.
This year, more than ever we are looking for new players of all ages. We need players specifically for our U16's and our U13's. Of course, all teams would benefit from new players so if your child, or even you wish to join then please do not hesitate to contact us!
As well as players, we will always welcome volunteers to the club for a whole host of roles. We most require coaches for our Youth and Mini teams so if you could spare some time to help then again, get in touch!
All that is left to say is that we look forward to playing some awesome teams across the counties this year and as always, play fairly while respecting everyone on the pitch!
